Super Soft Sheep Leather Palm — Grip That Doesn’t Let Go
The palm is made from super soft sheep leather — the material of choice for professional-grade batting gloves. Sheep leather is the right material for this application for specific reasons. It’s soft enough to conform to the contours of the hand and the bat handle, providing intimate contact and tactile feedback through the grip. It’s durable enough to withstand the repeated friction of a batting session without wearing through. And it has a natural grip surface that holds the bat handle securely through all phases of the stroke — the quick hands of a pull shot, the full extension of a drive, the delicate touch of a glance.

The knuckles, fingers, and back of the hand are protected by multi-layer foam padding incorporating high-density Plastazote. Plastazote is a closed-cell foam used in orthopedic and sports protection applications — it’s significantly denser and more impact-resistant than standard open-cell foam. When a delivery strikes the glove — a ball that rears off a length, a top edge that hits the gloves on the way through, a direct blow to the knuckles — Plastazote foam absorbs and disperses the impact energy before it reaches the hand.
Multi-layer construction stacks different foam densities to provide protection across a range of impact energies — softer layers for comfort and moderate impacts, denser layers for harder blows.
