GEL Cushioning — Soft Landing Every Time
Asics’ GEL technology sits in the midsole and absorbs impact on landing. Volleyball and badminton involve a lot of jumping and fast direction changes — your joints take a beating on hard indoor floors without proper cushioning underneath.
GEL doesn’t compress permanently like basic foam. It absorbs each impact and returns to shape, so the cushioning stays consistent from the first rally to the last.
TPU TRUSSTIC — Keeps the Foot From Twisting
The TRUSSTIC is a TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) plate in the midsole that resists torsional flex — stops the midfoot from twisting too far inward or outward during sharp lateral movements. On a quick shuffle or a sudden change of direction, the foot can over-rotate inside the shoe. TRUSSTIC prevents that, which means better stability and less injury risk over time.

Wrap-Up Outsole with Outrigger — Grip and Lateral Support Together
The outsole wraps up slightly on the medial side — giving you more rubber contact area when you push off laterally. The outrigger on the lateral side extends the base of the shoe outward, which prevents the ankle from rolling when you move hard sideways.
