The new Yonex Astrox 99 Play has a compact shaft and POWER-ASSIST BUMPER, a weighted bumper with tungsten infusion that is mounted at the top of the frame to transmit extra weight to the shuttle for stronger smashes. Wide Diameter Grommets, which allow strings to shift at impact for emphasised shuttle pocketing, are strategically positioned on the frame sides to improve defensive shot-making. In order to change the contour and widen the sweet spot of the enduring ISOMETRIC frame, the frame corners have been strengthened.
