The “Lite” designation tells you what Yonex did — they kept the head-heavy balance and the attacking character of the Voltric series and built it at 5U weight, which is approximately 78 grams. That’s notably light for a head-heavy racket. You get the attacking profile of a Voltric and the swing speed and manoeuvrability that usually only come with lighter, more neutral rackets. HM Graphite Frame and Shaft — Proper Material for a Proper Racket
Frame and shaft are both High Modulus (HM) graphite — a stiffer grade of graphite than the standard graphite used in entry-level rackets. The Isometric head is Yonex’s signature frame geometry — a squarish oval that expands the effective sweet spot compared to a traditional oval frame. On a conventional oval racket, the string lengths equalise only in a small central zone. On an Isometric frame, the squaredoff top corners extend the zone where string lengths are approximately equal in both directions — which is the technical definition of the sweet spot.
For an intermediate player who doesn’t yet hit the dead centre of the strings on every shot, the Isometric head provides meaningful margin. A smash that catches the upper portion of the sweet spot still carries pace and direction. A drive that’s fractionally off-centre still goes where it was aimed. The Isometric head makes the racket more forgiving without making it less precise on well-struck shots.
